Our Electronics Recycling Process
At HAN Trading Co., we coordinate a compliant and fully traceable electronics recycling workflow built around export-oriented logistics and certified downstream processing. All materials are handled with data security, environmental responsibility, and international compliance in mind—from client pickup to final settlement documentation.
While we do not perform dismantling or hazardous processing locally, all downstream activities are conducted through R2v3-certified partners, ensuring the highest standards for recycling, reuse, and data handling.
01. Pick-Up & Secure Transport
We coordinate scheduled pickups from client sites using trusted, tracked logistics partners. All IT assets are transported securely with chain-of-custody maintained from origin to final destination.
03. Sorting & Classification
Devices are sorted by category, cosmetic condition, and reuse potential. Functional and refurbishable items are prioritized for resale or reuse pathways, while the remainder is designated for certified recycling.
05. Export & Certified Processing
Qualified materials are shipped to approved downstream facilities overseas, where they are dismantled and separated into recyclable commodities (plastics, metals, circuit boards) in accordance with R2v3 standards.
02. Intake & Verification
Assets are received at our intake facilities in Alberta or Ontario, verified against client manifests, and prepared for export. Discrepancies are documented to ensure transparency and traceability.
04. Hazard Screening
Devices containing batteries, toners, or other restricted components are flagged for downstream handling by R2v3-certified processors with proper environmental controls.
06.Settlement & Reporting
Clients receive detailed reports covering asset tracking, data destruction status (if applicable), and downstream material recovery. Our documentation is designed to meet audit, ESG, and compliance requirements.
